Terms of sale

1. Who sells what

This English version is a translation provided for convenience; the French version prevails.

These terms of sale apply to purchases of FlyBuddy Premium offers (Telegram bot, Telegram mini-app and flybuddy.fr). The seller is FlyBuddy — sole trader (French "entrepreneur individuel", EI), SIREN 949 036 917 (SIRET 949 036 917 00019) ("we"). Contact: contact.flybuddy@gmail.com.

FlyBuddy is free: following pilots, takeoff and landing alerts, landing confirmation, SOS, club Live pages, the mini-app and the XCTrack widget require no purchase. Premium is a way to support the project; no safety feature depends on it.

Paying for Premium means accepting the terms in force at the time of purchase.

2. The offers

The exact content of each offer is the one shown on the Premium page at the time of purchase. As of the last update:

  • Premium Pilot (1 year): a 👑 crown next to your username in FlyBuddy messages (takeoff, landing, Live…), and funding for the servers and upcoming features. It is attached to your FlyBuddy account (and to the Telegram account linked to it).
  • Premium Club (1 year): the 👑 crown next to the club name, no more "Go Premium Club" banner on the club page, browser alerts on the club page for logged-in visitors (members' takeoffs, landings and SOS) and embedding of the Live page on the club's website. It is attached to the chosen club, not to the payer: any logged-in user can offer it to any club, and the club keeps it if the payer leaves.

3. Pay what you want

Offers are pay-what-you-want with a minimum: €15 for Premium Pilot and €50 for Premium Club. You may pay more, up to €100 (Pilot) or €500 (Club) online. Duration and benefits are the same whatever the amount: anything above the minimum supports the project. It is not a tax-deductible donation.

Prices are in euros, all taxes included. TVA non applicable, art. 293 B du CGI (VAT not applicable under the French VAT franchise scheme).

4. Ordering and payment

  • You must be logged in to a FlyBuddy account (website or Telegram mini-app).
  • You choose the offer, the amount and, for Premium Club, the club, then you pay. Paying means accepting these terms, as stated under the pay button.
  • Payment is made once, by card on Stripe's secure page, or with PayPal when that option is offered. The amount is charged immediately.
  • One-off payment: no subscription and no automatic renewal. You can buy again at any time; the new year is then added to the remaining time.
  • We never see or store your card details, which are handled directly by Stripe or PayPal. We keep a record of the transaction (payment id, amount, offer, beneficiary, date).
  • The payment provider emails you a receipt. These terms can be read and printed on this page at any time.

5. Activation and duration

The offer is activated automatically as soon as the payment provider confirms the payment, usually within seconds. It lasts 1 year from activation, or is added to the remaining time if the offer was already active.

For Premium Pilot, the Telegram bot reminds you about 7 days before it expires. At the end of the period the offer simply stops, with no fee and nothing to do.

If the offer is not active within an hour of payment, write to contact.flybuddy@gmail.com.

If the beneficiary account or club was deleted between the payment and its confirmation, nothing is activated: we refund you in full.

6. Right of withdrawal

You have 14 days from the purchase to withdraw, without giving any reason (article L221-18 of the French Consumer Code).

To withdraw, write to contact.flybuddy@gmail.com, for example: "I withdraw from the Premium purchase of …, paid by …, account email: …"

We refund you in full within 14 days of your request, using the same payment method as the purchase. The offer then ends.

7. Refunds

Apart from section 6 and the legal guarantees, payments are not refundable. A refund may still be granted as a goodwill gesture, at our discretion: write to us.

A refund or payment dispute (chargeback) removes the year added by that purchase; the offer ends if no other time remains. If the dispute is finally decided in our favour, the year is restored.

8. Legal guarantee of conformity

Digital content and services benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L224-25-1 et seq. of the French Consumer Code). If a Premium feature does not work as described, tell us at contact.flybuddy@gmail.com: we will bring it into conformity within a reasonable time or, failing that, you may obtain a price reduction or cancel the contract.

9. What FlyBuddy is not: limitation of liability

FlyBuddy is a helper between pilots, not a safety device, a rescue service or professional tracking. Alerts depend on third parties (XContest Live, Telegram, mobile network, the pilot's device and settings) and may be delayed, incomplete or missing. Never rely on FlyBuddy alone: in an emergency, call the emergency services (112). Premium does not make alerts faster or more reliable.

The service is provided as is and may change or be interrupted, in particular for maintenance. Our liability for a Premium purchase is limited to the amount paid, except for gross negligence or wilful misconduct, bodily injury, and wherever the law forbids such a limitation, in particular towards consumers.

10. Personal data

How we process your data is described in the privacy policy ("Privacy" page).

11. Complaints

For any complaint, write to contact.flybuddy@gmail.com: we answer within 15 working days at most.

12. Applicable law

These terms are governed by French law. In the event of a dispute, failing an amicable settlement, a consumer may bring proceedings before the court of the place where they lived at the time of purchase or any other court with jurisdiction under the law.

13. Changes to these terms

The terms that apply to a purchase are those in force on the day of that purchase. Last updated: 20 October 2026.
